
Vivian McCullough is an award-winning author and experienced genealogist who enjoys uncovering stories from the past. Her debut historical fiction novel, Pawnee Prisoner: The Story of Jane Gotcher Crawford, is based on the true story of the daughter of a Texas pioneer and wife of an Alamo defender. It is a story of courage, determination, and survival. The sequel, titled Texas Tainted Dreams, continues the Gotcher family story and is now available as well. Both books have garnered awards in the 2026 Texas Authors Texas Best Book Awards. Vivian has also produced three family history books and written six children’s books. She is a mother of two and a grandmother of nine. Currently retired, she lives in the North Texas area and enjoys reading, writing, research, and spending time with family.
